It is not until now that i realized that the words of my high school teacher is fairly true.. He said that as we get older, the number of friends that we have will decrease in their quantity.. At first, I did not quite believe what he said but i was proven wrong. As we grow older, our childhood friends start to have their own life and they are busy attending something else.. We could hardly ever meet up for a tea session or so..
Friends that we know in later years have the tendency to forget you as they graduate and start their new path in the working life.. They are also trying to reconnect with their old pals and if they are just your normal friends, it is hardly possible for them to ask u out for a meal together. Not to mention work colleagues, they're even worst as they have their own family to take care of.. certainly they have lesser time for u.. the only time they have for u is when they need your help.
But still i think that friends are something essential to us in life. I understand that friends do come and go but I wished it would not be that way. Imagine when u see an old pal and you both just nod heads for acknowledgement and walk to your own ways. It bitters the heart. I am pretty sure I do not want this to happen to me.
As I am writing this now, I start to think, who am I and what am I...
To be Continued...
