I finished reading a book recently on how to win friends and influence people by the author Dale Carnegie and I decided to take his teachings and my understanding of his lessons into practice on that certain day. With proper selection of words and tonality I managed to get myself a whole set of new casings for my Dell notebook changed which is already 18months old. I called up on the service centre to troubleshoot on the notebook which has frequent occurrence of blue screens but later I mailed to thank the officer attending to me for his time and requested if there is anyway that I could get my old worn out casings replaced. To my shocking I go a reply from the officer and he asked me to take photos of my notebook and attach in the email to him again. I did not expect to get a call the very next day from the Dell technician to get my casings replaced because as stated in the T&C, there won’t be coverage for normal wear and tear for notebooks. I find it an experience hard to forget and a memorable one although I know maybe it is because Dell provides quality service to their customers.
Ps: the great service is given by an officer by the name of Jeremy Wong.
